Katie Lucas

Chief Financial Officer

With a diverse background in business and accounting, Katie is a well-equipped and highly experienced Chartered Accountant. From working in, then owning, a professional practice to performing as a Financial Controller for a Property Developer and now as Maxim’s Chief Financial Officer, Katie has proven that her management style, technical skills and knowledge base can be utilised in any environment.

Katie has worked with Maxim Partner Mile Petrevski in various roles throughout her career. Firstly, for five years from 1994 when she began her career at Coopers and Lybrand, then for three years from 2007 as a Senior Manager at Maxim and since 2015 as Maxim’s Chief Financial Officer.

In between these roles Katie spent nine years in Wagga Wagga where she took on a role as a Senior Manager in a local Accounting Practice. She soon became a Partner, then sole business owner of this Practice, before selling in 2006. She also gained invaluable experience during the five years she spent in a commercial accounting role with one of Maxim's Property Developers and Builders.

Katie's strengths include exceptional organisational skills, thoroughness, accuracy and an easy and approachable management style. In both roles at Maxim Katie has easily fallen into a leading role in the Management Team by applying Big 4 qualities in a smaller and more conducive practice environment plus displaying extensive experience working in and owning a smaller practice.

Katie has three children and enjoys spending time with her family.
